What is kratom

Mitragyna speciosa, a tree with elongated green leaves most commonly found in Indonesia and Indochina, is kratom. The leaves of the kratom tree are dried and then ground into a fine powder.

Red "red" kratom

The red color of the veins comes from a particularly high concentration of the alkaloid known as 7-hydroxymitragynine. Red kratom is fully matured and has the most balanced alkaloid profile. However, do not expect a bright red powder. After drying and grinding, the leaves lose much of their color. Kratom differs in shades of green.

Where is kratom legal?

The Czech Republic and its legislation allow the sale of kratom as a collectible product. This means that the product is not intended for further handling—consumption. Canada and Germany have chosen the same approach, where sale with limited use is legal. On the contrary, some US states ban kratom. For example, in the state of New York, the sale of kratom is restricted by age limit. Persons under 21 cannot buy kratom in NY.
